Service Area: Food Insecurity The Franciscan Center could not provide critically-needed services to people in need without the dedicated support of volunteers who share their time and talent in service to the poor and hungry citizens of Baltimore. In non-Covid times we serve as many as 6000 meals per day in our dining room. . Volunteers will be interacting with guests, staff, and other volunteers in our large dining room that allows for safe distancing. Volunteer will plate and serve on the buffet line, assist guest in dining room, and help in dishwashing room. Tasks may include sandwich making, vegetable chopping, lunch assembly, cleaning projects, admininstrative and front desk help, We have lockers however volunteers are required to bring their own locks. Our center cannot be run without the support of volunteers like you.
