The Maryland coordinator for Clean Water Action is coming to APO to discuss local environmental initiatives and how to get involved. Clean Water Action organize a great deal of environmental advocacy including redirecting Maryland's renewable energy subsidies away from polluting facilities like trash incinerators and towards actual renewable energy, developing composting and other zero waste infrastructure, supporting Baltimore residents dealing with sewage backups in their basements, and preventing pollution being added to already-overburdened communities.
