Pledge Class Service Event |
| Date: Apr 17, 2021 at 1:00pm to 2:00pm | |
**Pledges are REQUIRED to attend at least one of these events!! Otherwise, you must contact either the Pledge Service Chair Ashley Raman or any of the service VPs!**
At this event, your pledge service committee has thought up of two options: Project Gutenberg and Mother's Day letter writing!
Project Gutenberg is a translation event similar to the Transcription Thursday event where you will be able to create an account and proofread transcriptions of a plethora of books. This project is currently seeking volunteers, and anyone is able to volunteer! The first portion of this event will be dedicated to finishing some proofreading quizzes before you are able to proofread. You can read more about their page and create an account at this link: https://www.pgdp.net/c/
The other event you are able to participate in is writing Mother's Day cards for the women of the Marian House. This house provides a safe community for "women and their children who are in need of housing and support services" and they would love to receive letters for their mothers. Please try to write these letters as personally as possible! You can choose to submit either handwritten letters or emails.
If you choose to write a letter, please see the attached link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1R53ckx2rUA_zA7D2iibWDewoXYgfKxOz5vz_xnPJ8yU/edit?usp=sharing
