Service Area: Community Building Volunteer Tasks: TBD... Personal Shopper - Greet customers with a bag/tote and assist them with shopping - Help each customer locate specific items they want and ensure they remain within the allowed totals of items per garment - Fold selected clothes and keep them in the bag/tote until finished shopping **Refer to the guide in the sorting room, if needed** Clothing Sorter - Empty donations into respective bins (men, women, children) - Sort by size and label each item with tape (place tape in upper right hand corner) - Hang sized items with correct hanger and distribute to the correct location in the marketplace Sign In / Receptionist - Greet customers and ask them who they are shopping for - As personal shoppers are available, assign customer with a shopper - Remind shoppers when 5 minutes remain to shop before their time is up **Once clothing bank is done, you may participate in Lunch Service as well.** Tasks: Prepping and serving meals on the line to the guests of Paul's Place. Volunteers may also be assigned to the floor to clean tables, serve beverages, and transport used utensils and plates to the dishwasher. Assistance may also be needed at the marketplace where volunteers help guests select clothes and household items. PLEASE WEAR CLOSE-TOED SHOES -- all other gear will be provided. Logistics: 9:30 AM: Depart from Scott-Bates Commons 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Volunteer at Paul's Place ~1:00 PM: Return to Scott-Bates Commons Mode of Transportation: HopVan/Lyft
