The Council on University Programming (COUP) is holding the annual Boos n Ribs event and need volunteers to facilitate the event on-site. It is on Friday, October 29 from 06:30 to 09:30pm; and they need volunteers before and after the event to help set up and clean up, respectively. They also need volunteers during the event. They will be serving BBQ (ribs, mushrooms, peas, corn etc.) and there will be performances by a blues band and RSOs. The Pub will also be serving alcohol for the 21+ attendees. Students are encouraged to grab food, grab drinks, then go watch performances. A main concern we hope to avoid is people lingering around the same room (as each room has specific capacity limitations). Below are some further event details. What: Boos n Ribs (fun night with free food, drinks, and blues) Roles: Ushers, clean-up crew, COVID monitors (x25): monitoring students in line, ensuring students are following COVID-regulations, disposing of waste throughout and after the event, ushering band and RSO performers Food servers (x10) Students can sign up for one shift or both shifts. ***Volunteers will also get food, and may get food in a take-away box to bring home too!**
