Great opportunity with free lunch! College Day Team will be hosting College Day for 100 Chicago Public School high school students to come to campus. The mission of College Day is to help lower income students learn more about opportunities that make colleges such as UChicago accessible and help them build a stronger working knowledge of the college application process and what college entails. There are two events that we will be hosting for College Day that we would love your help with: 11:45am-1pm Lunch Roundtable (INTERNAL HOURS): You will eat lunch with CPS high school students to answer their questions about college and describe your own experiences. We are hoping to bring volunteers with DIVERSE perspectives for these roundtables. 1:45-3pm CPS Alumni Panel (EXTERNAL HOURS): This is open to current UChicago students who attended a CPS high school. We will ask you questions about your journey to college (i.e. challenges you faced, opportunities you found, why you wanted to go to college, etc.) and open the floor to CPS students for questions.
