FEMMES is having a massive Code Camp on April 30th, and they are looking to get volunteers to help as teachers, councilors, and setup/cleanup responsibilities throughout the day. To volunteer at the FEMMES event, however, you have to attend a one day training on April 17th. Sign up here to be able to go to the training! FEMMES CAPSTONE VOLUNTEER POSITIONS: Note: All volunteers (teacher, counselor, and volunteer) will be required to attend one training session on April 17th from 12 - 2pm (If you cannot make this time let us know). Teachers will be required to attend an additional training session, for which there will be a choice of two days TBA during 3rd-5th week. Teacher: You will teach a class of 10 students a hands-on computer science lesson plan. You will teach this module 1 - 3 times throughout the day. FEMMES will provide training in your specific lesson plan, no previous computer science experience is necessary. Types of jobs: Counselor: You will be assigned a group of 10 students and you will lead them through the event and help facilitate bonding within your group. Counselor is an all day commitment.
