Heyo! Come to the Living Room Cafe and volunteer as a server or a cook. We need THREE cooks and TWO servers. Meet in front of BJ at 8:10 to walk over together. The Living Room Cafe provides a restaurant style dining experience to individuals who can't usually afford it. It's a lot of fun, so if you've got the time and energy, please come! [Optional] Specify in the comments whether you'd like to be a server or a cook upon signing up. Some notes from LRC for cooks: 1. No jewelry on hands or arms is permitted. 2. Fingernails must be cut short and without polish (as it can chip off into food). 3. Wounds must be covered with a bandage. Gloves must be worn over any open wound. 4. Closed toe, flat, non-slip shoes must be worn by anyone in the kitchen - avoid canvas shoes. 5. A hair net or hat must be worn at all times by anyone in the kitchen (we can provide hair nets for volunteers). 6. Hands must be washed before starting work in the kitchen and after touching raw meat or any potentially contaminated surfaces. 7. We know it gets warm in the kitchen, but please avoid wearing shorts when cooking.
