Global Girls is a south side organization that empowers youth through dance and discussion and more, which is awesome. I volunteered there through a Day of Service last year, and now a UChicago friend that works there needs a couple more volunteers for their 14th Annual MLK Reception! The actual event is 3pm to 5pm, but we need to be there at 1pm. That means we will want to be on the 15 bus no later than 12:30 PM. You are welcome to meet at my apartment, 5134 S Ingleside (note: there are cats). Hours for transportation have been included. If you are coming from somewhere else, meet us at the site and talk to either Shawnteal Peery or Stephanie Grach (me).
