Supporting Cardiac Arrest Awareness Dylan Dorrell passed away on August 13, 2020 due to a sudden cardiac episode while running at Cross Country practice. Efforts to revive him using CPR failed and there was no Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on hand. Since that day, his family created the RunforDylan Foundation. The foundation focuses on providing heart screenings for athletes, CPR training for Teens and other community outreach projects. The first community outreach program that the foundation started was to put an AED at all city parks in Denton county. So far the foundation was able to install one at Southlakes Park in Denton, which was the park where Dylan was when he was taken from this world. Plans to install at Northlakes park in Denton are underway with more to come. Brothers, we need all hands on deck to help the family of Dylan run this race. This includes helping with registration, working water stations, cleanup, and wherever else help is needed! Please come out and help support the cause!
