In collaboration with the Center for Leadership and Service, Multicultural Center, and the Office of Outreach, we will be hosting the inaugural Cesar Chavez Day of Action at the University of North Texas. The event will spotlight the non-profit, LUPE, an organization founded by labor rights activist Csar Chvez & Dolores Huerta, which helps build stronger communities. In addition to the day of activities, the event will also be hosting a Supply Drive benefiting the ANGRY Tias and Abuelas, a non-profit organization that provides basic necessities and aid human dignity and justice! Participants can purchase an item using an Amazon Wishlist that was created by Team Brownsville and ANGRY Tias and Abuelas and the donation will be sent directly to them so they may disperse supplies as necessary. The supply drive will be in accordance to COVID-19 guidelines by being virtual as well.
