Learn the basics of weaving using reused materials from SCRAP! Attendees will make a small loom out of cardboard, learn how to add warp threads, fringe, and weave. We will discuss basic terminology and multiple techniques to create different textures and patterns in your final fiber creation. Participants will go home with a small one-of-a-kind weaving and the knowledge to continue practicing this ancient art. This workshop will be led by Jeanna Dunlap, owner of the Locust Loom, who makes and sells stunning weaving designs.
