After 3 years of offering the UNT/JCP Suit - Up Event in Denton, we will do it again this year and your support is needed!! This event continues to be successful, students love it and it’s been expanded to all UNT Campus locations including Frisco, Dallas and Fort Worth. This exclusive 3 hour deeply discounted shopping experience for UNT Students will further assist our students with career preparedness and proper business attire. JCP will offer up to 60% off selected men’s and women’s career dress apparel, shoes, and accessories. There have been hundreds of students to participate over the years and we hope to have a strong student participation again this year at the September 15th event. Yes, you too are welcome to shop!!! The discount is available to students, staff and faculty; your UNT ID is required. I have attached the Suit Up flyer and a list of the merchandise included in the Suit-Up Event offer. Are you excited to help? Volunteers are needed for the Suit Up event on Sunday, Sept. 15th from 6:30 – 9:30pm at JCP @ Golden Triangle Mall here in Denton. The work shifts are 6-7pm, 7-8pm and 8-9:30pm. Sign-Up ASAP if you would like to volunteer for as much time as you would like, 1, 2 or all 3 hours, we will be happy to have you there. Please sign up by Tuesday, Sept. 10th. If you are interested in volunteering, contact deidre.leslie@unt.edu and she will follow up with you. Volunteers will be assigned to work as: Bagger – Assist cashiers and bag purchased items. Fashion Stylist – Move throughout the store and near the fitting rooms to assist students with choosing clothing styles that will develop and enhance the student’s professional image. Clothing selection should be styles that are flattering and communicate the appropriate message> PROFESSIONALISM. Fitting Room Monitor – Direct students to available fitting rooms. Inform students to re-hang and remove all clothing items from the fitting rooms and hang on the rack stationed outside of the fitting room. A JCP Employee will return clothing items to the selling floor. Check-In Table – Swipe UNT students, have staff/faculty sign-in. Distribute door prize tickets; have students write their name and phone number on the back of the ticket.
