Training is mandatory in order to volunteer at the gala. If you are unable to arrive on time or stay for the entire evening, please decline from volunteering. 2. There will not be room to store your belongings. Please come dressed and ready to work, and we suggest leaving your belongings locked in your car or at home. 3. There will be a volunteer meal provided in shifts. We ask that you do not drink alcohol while you are volunteering. 4. Remember that you are a representative of UNICEF USA. 5. All volunteers MUST be 18 years of age or older. If you are under 21, you must have the consent form filled out and submitted prior to the event. 6. Parking and other logistical information will be provided at the volunteer training. You will also be given a manual and talking points that you must review prior to the event. 7. Volunteer duties will be assigned prior to attending the event, but they will range from working the check-in, to helping with the live auction, engaging guests around UNICEF’s program areas, and more. Duties will be outlined in the volunteer manual. !!!!Dress code: Black-tie attire. Women – black or dark dresses; floor length dresses preferred, but to the knee will work as well. Black suits for the men. Please wear nice dress shoes that are comfortable, as you will be on your feet most of the night.
