Meet behind Wooten at 8 a.m. to carpool. We will be departing at 8:30 a.m. We have been assigned to Koan School. Activities will include weeding, raking leaves, picking up trash and recyclables, pruning, and making beautification improvements to the outdoor learning area. The weather should be nice on Saturday with a high of 80 degrees. It will probably be cool that morning, so wear thin layers that you can take off as the morning progresses. Please bring a hat and some work gloves, as well as a pair of close-toed shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Also, please bring any rakes, shovels and pruning tools if you have them. Beverages and light snacks will be provided. MIC: Our contact at the school, and the person that will be leading the workday, will be Amanda Newton (817-247-1371, amandan@koanschool.org).
