Educating ourselves is vital for serving our community. That's why I want to introduce the Feminism and Social Justice course from Coursera. "Feminism and Social Justice" is an adaptation of Distinguished Professor Bettina Aptheker's long-running course at UC Santa Cruz. In the course, Professor Aptheker presents a broad definition of feminism that serves to frame three significant events in the history of feminism and social justice: the Empire Zinc strike of 1951, the 1971-1972 trial of Angela Davis, and the #metoo Movement. Please enroll (it's free!) in the course at this link: https://www.coursera.org/learn/feminism-social-justice?action=enroll&courseSlug=feminism-social-justice&showOnboardingModal=check You will receive 8 service hours for completing the full course! If you complete some but not all the modules, I will still grant you hours for the modules you did complete. Remember to email me proof of what you completed! :)
