The U of M’s Foundation of International Medical Relief for Children (FIMRC) will be hosting its annual MLK Symposium Event on January 29th from 6-7:30 pm in Room 4 of the Michigan League. The theme of the event will be “Political Etiologies in Health Care.” Speakers will discuss how structural violence and systematic discrimination influences medicine and how historical hegemonic powers have affected modern health care practices.
