Emilio Gutierrez Soto is a journalist who has worked as both a daily print and radio reporter and magazine editor in Mexico, covering everything from crime to politics to the arts. Following death threats for his reporting and internment by ICE, he is awaiting decision on an asylum application. As a Knight Wallace Fellow, he is studying issues related to safety and freedom of journalists.
