Gain a leadership point by attending this lecture and learn more about your right to vote. In democracies, ours included, voting is free, equal and secret – except when it’s not. A panel of distinguished scholars will discuss the subtle and not so subtle ways in which voting rights continue to be undermined in the context of a long history of electoral interferences, voter suppression, discouragement, and intimidation. They will discuss the deliberate targeting of particular groups and individuals as well as structural and infrastructural infringements on voting rights.
