Keep Growing Detroit exists to promote a food sovereign city where the majority of fruits and vegetables Detroiters consume are grown by residents within the city’s limits. Volunteering with KGD is an awesome experience that allows you to get dirty by helping out in their community garden spaces. Rather than the drop in volunteering we have done with KGD in the past, they asked us to plan one big group volunteering date in order to work on a project with a bigger impact.
