Join us for Student Life Sustainability Cultural Organizers’ first ever fair event - “A Carnival Built in Hell: Responding to the Climate Crisis.” Through this event, we will celebrate and connect historical and contemporary U-M and Ann-Arbor-based social movement work that sits at the intersection of climate adaptation, mutual aid, and the arts. This gathering addresses our growing collective need to strengthen our mutual aid networks as a foundation for building just climate futures. During “A Carnival Built in Hell”, you will have an opportunity to connect with Ann-Arbor-based and U-M student orgs to learn more about what they are doing now to build resilience in the face of the climate crisis. By simulating a climate scenario, guests will also be able to practice interdependence and power building. Hotdogs, veggie dogs, pretzels, cotton candy, and other snacks will be provided!
