NAP Workday- World Migratory Bird Day

Date: Oct 13, 2024 at 9:00am to 12:00pm
Hi Bros! Isn’t it wonderful that you don’t have to know a single thing about birds to enjoy them? Just their beautiful songs or graceful flight can brighten a dreary day. Birds – in particular migrating birds – depend on the diverse habitat at Mary Beth Doyle Park, and you can help keep it that way. Removing invasive shrubs with the staff of Natural Area Preservation (NAP) is straightforward and fun! World Migratory Bird Day is the perfect time to show your appreciation for our feathered friends who bring everyone joy. Meet at https://www.google.com/maps/place/42%C2%B014'23.4%22N+83%C2%B042'45.5%22W/@42.239819,-83.7139235,18z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m4!3m3!8m2!3d42.239819!4d-83.712636?entry=tts&shorturl=1 Volunteers will use hand tools to cut small-to-medium shrubs. Workday sites have unpaved trails and require going off-trail. Preregister at https://cityofannarbor.volunteerhub.com/vv2/lp/nap/event/e2782ccd-9f56-4947-82f0-524f2e2233ea so NAP can plan on enough staff and supplies for a safe and successful event. For your safety, wear long pants, tall socks, and closed-toe shoes.
