Keep Santa Clara Valley Beautiful is a countywide, multi-agency initiative to clean and prevent littering on the highways in Santa Clara County. Trash on the highways is hazardous to drivers, the environment, and residents. VTA is working together with several partners to develop a program to change people’s attitudes and behaviors towards throwing litter on the highways instead of in garbage cans or recycling containers. Let's slay this service! As a side note: this will be a very large service event: other organizations from SJSU and a city councilman will also be attending. Please Park at Lowell Elementary School entrance near 689 S. 6th Street, San Jose and meet at S. 7th Street & the I-280 Southbound On-ramp, San Jose. Cleaning equipment and safety vests will be provided. Snacks and prizes are also provided for volunteers attending the day of the clean up!
