Out of consideration to the organizers and other volunteers, please get there AHEAD OF TIME! There will be only one shift. Volunteers take part in farm work that varies from day to day. Our most common tasks include: planting, harvesting, cultivating, composting and farm maintenance. Prior gardening and farming experience is not required! We will teach you everything you need to know. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, appropriate footwear and a hat. And do not forget sunscreen! Check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. Because of COVID-19 safety concerns, we are asking volunteers to bring their own water, snacks, and gloves. Taylor St. Farm is an operating farm so there may be tools present, uneven surfaces and insects. (And yes, our restroom is a port-a-potty). We highly encourage you to bring a reusable bag or basket in order to take harvest and take home all the in season fruits and vegetables.
