San Jose 408k 2018 "Race to the Row" |
| Date: Mar 4, 2018 at 6:30am to 10:00am | |
Meeting Time & Location: DC @ 6:00 am
Maximum Number of Brothers: 50
Event Description:
Why: Benefits the Pat Tillman Foundation
Role: Course Monitors, directing runners the right way and cheering them on
All volunteers receive: an official Race Crew shirt, snacks, and karma for days
The race starts at SAP Center and finishes at Santana Row. Along the 8k course (http://run408k.com/course/) we utilize Course Monitor volunteers to direct runners the right way (I.e. to turn right or left, or keep going straight).
Prior to the race, our Course Manager will be in email communication with all of our Course Monitor volunteers to share specific meeting locations. We will keep your group together.
The race starts at 8:00am. We ask our Course Monitors to arrive at 6:30am, to give enough time to check in, get directions from our Course Manager, and get in the appropriate place on the race course. The city of San Jose and the police department does not allow for the race to start until all our Course Monitors are in place.
From 8:00am-9:30am/10:00am runners will be running by you, so you will be offering tons of cheers (and likely some high fives), while you direct runners the way to go.
When the last runner runs by, our Course Manager will come by to get you squared away before release.
