Chairing: Brothers must select “I volunteer to coordinate.” to chair. Pledges must comment “I would like to co-chair.” to co-chair. First come first serve. Meeting Time & Location: DC @ 1:00 pm Maximum Number of Brothers: 10 Event Description: Hospice care at VITAS is focused on serving and comforting patients and families at the end of their lives. Volunteers are "reverse trick or treating"! Volunteers will dress in costume, and then go to the facility to hand out candy and treats. Candy will be provided. Volunteers are going to TWO locations 1 hour each: Westgate Villa (5425 Mayme Avenue San Jose 95129) and Villa Fontana (5555 Prospect Rd San Jose 95129). They are actually right next to each other. Dress Code: Paddle/Pledge Pin & Halloween Costume. Costume need to be appropriate. Not bloody/gory/revealing Extra Chairing Tasks: Email the coordinator ASAP on reserving spots. *Some previous services have been cancelled from not contacting coordinator in a reasonable time frame!* Keep in contact with the coordinator and update her on our volunteer status.
