Volunteering is a great way to see best practices, watch teams compete, and learn from the feedback of professionals! (Even if your volunteer shift is not in a competition room, all volunteers are allowed to watch the Final Round presentations.) - Network with members of the business community. The judges we partner with are alumni, professionals who are friends of Foster, and employees from our case company partner. - Spotlight your RSO. If your RSO commits 10 or more volunteers, your RSO will be recognized at the networking lunch to all students and judges. - Free food! We will provide you with lunch for the day. VOLUNTEER SHIFTS: 1) Preliminary Round Room Manager - Friday, Dec. 3 / 8:00 am - 12:05 pm - Host a competition room and manage incoming teams/students - Read script, keep time for competition, assist with IT - Assist the judges and communicate with Foster event staff 2) Lunch Manager - Friday, Dec. 3 / 10:30 am - 12:45 pm - Help to setup and cleanup lunch - Manage food quantities on the tables 3) Final Round Room Manager - Friday, Dec. 3 / 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm - Host the final competition room and manage incoming teams/students - Read script, keep time for competition, assist with IT - Assist the judges and communicate with Foster event staff They will email you to confirm if you have been selected for this volunteer opportunity.
