Alpha Phi Omega is partnering with the American Diabetes Association to inform people and raise awareness about diabetes. This will be done by asking the person if they've had a person affected by diabetes or how they have been affected by diabetes. Ask them if they want to share their story and ask for permission we can take a picture or a video of them to share on the National Diabetes Association's social media. Also ask them if they want to take a risk test. The LDSSA is hoping to work with a large group of RSOs and hold a Day of Service in Red Square. Each RSO would have a small booth in Red Square where they would provide a small service opportunity; the goal is to have quick and easy ways for the students to serve their communities. Each booth (and corresponding service project) will be independent, so you can be really creative about what you want your booth to be. It could be writing notes to children at Seattle Children’s Hospital or putting together compassion kits, or something like a bake sale or a pay-to-play game with proceeds going to an organization of your choice. This could be a really cool way to reach out to local organizations and collaborate!
