SIGN UP HERE https://amaraputskidsfirst.org/event/emergency-sanctuary-volunteer-orientation-seattle-2/ We depend on volunteers to help care for kids in our Emergency Sanctuary Program. We operate two locations: Our Grandese’s Place Sanctuary in Seattle, and our Pierce County Sanctuary in Tacoma. Volunteers in our Sanctuary program offer comfort and security to kids by playing at the park, accompanying kids to doctors appointments, making pancakes, visiting the zoo, and so much more. All volunteers are provided with extensive training and are supported by onsite staff. This orientation provides prospective volunteers with information needed to make an informed decision about whether volunteering in our Emergency Sanctuary is the right fit for them, and prepares them for volunteer service in the Sanctuary. RSVP for the first half from 6:00 – 7:00 pm to learn more about this important volunteer role at Amara, and decide onsite if you’d like to stay for the second half (7:00 – 8:00 pm) for further training! To RSVP by phone, please call the Volunteer Manager at 253.444.0145.
