Filipino Day acts as a cultural experience specialized for high school students, dedicated to creating a safe space where students can expand their potential. This also acts as a day where high school students who are interested in attending college (especially UW) are introduced to Filipinx leaders in our community while getting the chance to meet other high school students just like them. This year’s theme is “Up, Up, and Away”. Our goal is to foster empowerment within Filipinx youth to let them know there is a collective community for them to reach out to and grow with as they explore life’s possibilities after high school. So with that, we're currently looking for volunteers to help us make Filipino Day possible! We're looking for volunteers that are dedicated, timely, and enthusiastic about this event. We also encourage our volunteers to be interactive, whether that be talking to high schoolers, sitting in the workshops, or helping the Group Leaders.
