Unhealthy Doctors Lead to Unhealthy Patients: Gelfand Lecture

Date: May 2, 2018 at 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Have you heard of physician burnout? This truly is the topic of the decade, as many researchers have promulgated data clearly showing the increased error rate among physicians, lack of compliance among patients and overall lack of access to medical care that results from the epidemic of physician burnout and resultant high suicide rate among medical professionals. Professional burnout is a topical issue that is relevant and scientific, it directly impacts on social and economic aspects of health delivery, and its reduction is key to promoting humanity in medicine. Come out to this free lecture presented by California Medical Association President Dr. Ruth Haskins and hosted by Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity: WA Alpha to learn more about this important issue! Snacks will be provided. Open admission to the UW community and general public. This is WA Alpha's second lecture as part of our annual William Gelfand Distinguished Lectureship series. This lectureship was created to honor a long time member of Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Field, and is designed to educate the community on new discoveries in the medical field.
