Check-in time: So everyone doesn’t arrive at once, I suggest you report to check-in between 5:10 and 5:30 PM But please be there by 5:30 PM Time for volunteering: From check-in to at least 7:30 PM Let me know if you can work ‘til 8 PM. Check-in location: The check-in tent is in Westlake Park, east of the holiday carousel and the Figgy Stage. Check-in process: Charlette and Dana will take your names, give you a donation / button sign, a box for donations, and bunches of cute Figgy Pudding buttons to give people who make donations. We will also give you a top hat and an apron that will help to identify you as Figgy volunteers. We will also assign you to a Figgy zone, and ask that you remain within your zone during the caroling on the street, from 6 – 7:15 PM. What will you do? You will circulate in teams of two, within your assigned zone giving people an opportunity to make a donation into your donation box. When they make a donation you will give them the really cute Figgy Pudding button as a thank you. How will you do this? Will Figgy Spirit, friendly energy, and a smile! Give huge thank yous to people. This will be easy to do. Figgy Pudding is contagious – you will catch it. What do you do at 7:15 PM? When the caroling on the street ends you will return to the check-in area to turn in your donations and flare. By this time you should feel really happy about what you accomplished! You may also be cold and tired – but what the heck! If you work until 8: We ask that you place yourselves in the crowd so you can take more donations.
