For this project volunteers are needed to read poems written by incarcerated youth and sometimes adults too. Freeminds book club is a non-profit for incarcerated teens that provides creative writing workshops and book clubs once per week at the DC jail. When you come to this event, called Write Night, you get to read the poems and write words of encouragement on their work which Free Minds will send to them. There WILL be snacks! You can take any of the N buses to Mass and 20th street then walk down P. More details to come.
