The project is from 5pm-dusk (approximately 8pm, probably earlier) The work is general organic farm maintenance: planting, weeding, maintaining compost piles and paths, and more. We recommend folks dress to get dirty wear closed-toed shoes. We provide tools and gloves. Please bring a water bottle to help us reduce trash waste from disposable cups, we will provide the water Remember to wear sunscreen and a hat. We do not have much of a shaded area and it can get very hot and sunny during the summer! We don't have a restroom on-site! If necessary, we use a wooded area nearby or the restroom at the metro Directions to the site are below. Directions to the garden: To get to the garden from the Fort Totten metro station, turn left (north) and walk up the sidewalk past where the buses stop. Across from the parking lot and after some trees, you'll see a paved path going up over a slight hill on your left (going north), take that path across a field and you'll see us at the top of the hill!
