On September 29th Queers and Allies will be hosting its first faith-related event of the year, BURRITOS AND THE BIBLE! We will be going to Chipotle then attending the AU Methodists/Protestant worship Service in Kay Spiritual Life Center. We will take the shuttle to Tenley, grab some grub, then get our faith on. This is going to be the first event in a line of events we are calling Services and Service. Every other Sunday we will be either attending a service for a different faith represented in our DC community or doing a small service project that follows a major tenant of what that faith preaches. Queers of All Faiths believes that faith is both personal and communal. We must both personally practice our faith, then allow it to bring light to our community. Just as the name of Queers and Allies suggests, we do not seek to marginalize or exclude anyone. If there is a service that you want to attend, then the community of Queers of all Faiths would love to be a part of it. We want this community to be open to diverse dialogues and be culturally competent, going beyond just knowing and bridging the gap into understanding and acceptance.
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or praises, please don’t hesitate to email us!!
