HELP MY FRIEND JESS GO TO INDIA!! Hey bros, just letting you know about a very important Alt break trip that will be happening in the summer to India. My friend Jess will be participating, but only with your help!! At the end of May, she will be traveling to India with the Alternative Break program at American University, where her group will be working at a summer camp for youth, specifically with children who are discriminated by the caste system. Literally meaning “of the dust,” the Dalits, also known as the Untouchables, do not have access to education, the workforce, and the other castes. Though it is technically illegal to discriminate based on caste, this oppression has completely permeated the social structure of India. I would really appreciate it if you could help out my friend Jess for this really important cause! A donation of 5 dollars will suffice for a fundraising hour, and any bro who participates will be greatly appreciated!!!! To donate, call or text Tom (me) at 845-341-7788. I will be donating the money to AU's Center for Community Engagement to support the trip! THANK Y'ALL.
