Hey bros! My friend Rachael is working with an organization called Bike and Build this summer and is looking to fundraise! Come out to the Bike and Build fundraiser this Tuesday from 6-8 PM at ZBurger in Tenley! Here's more info about Bike and Build! Bike and Build is a non-profit organization in which volunteers sign up to bike across the country for the affordable housing cause. Along the route, participants stop and pair up with Habitat for Humanity to build houses to perform direct aid for the cause. Thus far, we have raised $1,215 out of our $4,500 target to perform this direct aid! Did you know: Nearly 2 billion people around the world live in slum housing and over 100 million are homeless, and that there is no county in the country that an individual working a 40 hour work week at minimum wage can afford a one-bedroom apartment at the Fair Market Rent (FMR)? Affordable housing is an issue on the rise, as the number of people with unstable living situations growing exponentially. To help out you can come stop by the Bike and Build Z-Burger Fundraiser on April 16th from 6-8pm (I will be handing out fliers outside of Z-Burger) or you can donate directly through http://bikeandbuild.org/rider/7010
