This is the project APO has been waiting for...A FUN DAY IN THE PARK! Sign up to help out with "Neighboring Now NW: Fun Saturdays," a program directed by Great DC Cares to help revitalizing the Petsworth community! Volunteers will help out with the following events: music classes, yoga, chess, board games, girl's action, financial education, child care and a low cost lunch. The FIRST volunteer who signs up for this project MUST create an account with GreaterDCCares.org. I promise this takes just 10 minutes (despite the website saying there is a 20 minute orientation. The orientation is actually a slide show that you can flip through in 3 minutes or less!). Once you have registered on the site, sign up for the "Neighboring Now NW: Fun Saturdays" project on March 19th and request 4 more volunteer spots!! Volunteers should meet in the LA Quad at 10:40 am or at the Tenleytown Metro at 11 am. Take the RED LINE to Gallery Pl-Chinatown and then transfer to the GREEN LINE heading towards Greenbelt. Hop of at Georgia Ave-Petworth and make the 3 minute walk to the Park view park! The project starts at 12:00pm and you should be done volunteering and on your way back to campus by 4:00pm.
