(: The Campus Kitchen Project empowers students and their community partners to recycle food from their cafeterias, area grocery stores and restaurants, turn these donations into nourishing meals, and deliver those meals to those who need it most. We are expanding their campus and student based model by using the kitchen at the St. Luke's Mission Center and making this one of the "Feeding the Homeless" ministries of our cooperative parish. In Food Prep we take food that otherwise would have gone to waste and prepare meals for those in need. The coordinator at St. Luke's is Kate Murphey and her number is 202-590-8770. St. Lukes is right behind Surfside in Glover park. The address is 3655 Calvert Street NW.
