Want 5 hours that are only a bus ride away? Sign-up for this GREAT project with We Are Family! And get all your friends to sign-up too! Volunteers will be distributing groceries to individuals in the Columbia Heights area. This is a great project because you will be making an IMMEDIATE impact on the lives of those you help. How awesome is that? If you live on campus, meet in the L.A. Quad at 8:45 am to take the 9:00 am shuttle to Tenleytown. If you live off campus, meet by the AU shuttle stop in Tenleytown at 9:15 am. At that point take the 9:21 am H4 bus to Columbia Heights. (If you are early, stop into Starbucks for breakfast!) If you miss this bus for some odd reason, there is a 9:41 am bus but you will arrive at the project late. SO DON'T BE LATE. When you get off the bus, walk to the Kelsey Apts, which are just one block from the Columbia Heights metro between Park and Monroe on 14th street (away from the Target). There you will meet Mark from We Are Family! After the project, take the bus or metro back! DRESS WARM BECAUSE YOU WILL BE WALKING AROUND OUTSIDE!
