Love TLC and Say Yes to the Dress? Then this is the project for you. I currently am interning at Discovery Communications this semester and we are hosting an event called "Say Yes to the Prom!" This was a huge success in our office last year where we collect gently used, in good condition prom dresses and or accessories to donate to girls in need who cannot afford a dress for their prom. Last year they had a huge event where all of the girls in the area could come by and pick out a dress while getting styled by Monte from Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta. I know you all have old dresses that are just sitting in your closet that you are not wearing anymore. Please consider donating them! The dresses must be... 1. Formal 2. In good condition (no stains, dry cleaned, etc.) 3. Any size, shape, etc. If it is a short dress, please make sure it is equally as formal as a long dress. 4.Given to me prior to February 24th For each dress you donate, you will receive one community service hour. Please call home and ask your parents to send you that dress that is just sitting there or encourage your friends outside of APO to give you dresses. I am on campus Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for the most part so feel free to email, call/text, or facebook me to meet up and give me your dress. I have a car so if you live off campus I can even swing by and pick it up.
