Online Cardmaking with Art, Technically

Date: Sep 15, 2020 at 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Come meet potential new members! Bros welcome to come! We are teaming up with Art, Technically, a DC-based organization promoting free and open-source STEAM resources and workshops to K-12 students and educators. It is founded and run by AU students (now alumni). Art, Technically uses fun, engaging, and accessible lesson plans to increase science, math, and technology student proficiency and “encourage female students and ‘arts’ students to explore STEM and male students and ‘non-arts’ students to explore arts and media.” Their work highlights the intersectionality of these fields and includes using available software to create cards for those in most need of some appreciation, like healthcare workers and Meals on Wheels recipients. Matt and Lily will lead a workshop to show us the basics for coding using Kato so we can make our own cards! Questions email: membership@auapo.net or message Julia Flum
