Latino Student Fund New Tutor Orientation

Date: Aug 28, 2020 at 10:00am to 11:00am
Latino Student Fund is always looking for volunteers to help expand their programs. Their tutoring program, serving PreK-12th grade students in math and reading, will be virtual through at least December 2020. Sessions will be available between 3 - 6 pm Tuesdays through Thursdays as well as Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm. You DO NOT need to be available during all of these times, rather you will choose 2+ hours within this time frame to tutor weekly. This orientation is for tutors who have never volunteered with LFS before. You will be required to complete a set of forms and training videos before orientation. If you are interested in tutoring students between PreK and 3rd grade, you will be training in the Early Literacy Initiative as well, meaning the pre-orientation videos will take around two hours. If you are interested in tutoring only older students, the training videos will take around one hour to complete. They will send out the link to this Zoom meeting before the orientation! Please don't hesitate to reach out to Clara (clincoln@latinostudentfund.org) or myself with any questions. Create an account and sign up here:https://latinostudentfund.volunteerhub.com/
