City Blossoms @ Girard Community Garden

Date: Apr 26, 2019 at 4:00pm to 6:00pm
City Blossoms fosters healthy communities through innovative, community-engaging programming and green spaces. Since 2009, City Blossoms has designed, developed, collaborated on, and provided programming or training for over 100 projects throughout Washington, DC and nationwide. Through our work with hundreds of community-based organizations, neighborhood groups, schools, and learnings centers, we serve all people, with a particular focus on low-income communities and Latino, African-American, and immigrant youth. We serve neighborhoods in which children and youth may not otherwise have access to green space. This is a moderately physically strenuous activity and open times are weather dependent. Please wear sneakers and pants and be prepared to get dirty. In the event of heavy rain or temperatures over 100 degrees, Open Times will be canceled. Note travel time is included with 30 minutes each way. Also, you must fill out a liability and consent form if this is your first time volunteering with City Blossoms, they will have the form on hand when you arrive at the community garden
