Date: Mar 16, 2019 at 12:00pm to 2:12pm
Rural Dog Rescue is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in shelters who are often overlooked for adoption or rescue. Come out and help these amazing "underdogs" find their new, loving families! Volunteers will hold and walk dogs at the event and talk to potential adopters about the dogs and the adoption process. ALL NEW RURAL DOG RESCUE VOLUNTEERS MUST FILL OUT THIS VOLUNTEER QUESTIONNAIRE (link:https://rdr.formstack.com/forms/rdr_volunteer_form) AND WILL BE ADDED TO THE VOLUNTEER LISTSERV. You MUST sign up for the event directly with RDR: https://www.volunteersignup.org/3DJ4E through these sign-up links before signing up on the APO portal. NOTE: RDR pays careful attention to the comfort and safety of the rescue dogs, so be aware events may be canceled due to things like cold weather or rain. Pay close attention to the requirements for each type of handler. One hour of travel time is included each way, however, it should only take about 30-45 minutes from the Tenleytown metro. It is best to arrive on the earlier side. PLEASE SIGN UP EARLY THESE SHIFTS FILL UP QUICKLY!
