BEFORE YOU REGISTER: Since we are donations driven, it is hard to predict where we will need volunteers most on a given day. Please be open to volunteering in the area you are most needed on the day you arrive. Larger groups may be split up to cover different needs. Please do not register to volunteer unless you are flexible and willing to participate in any of the areas listed below. CLOTHING: Thanks to our donors, SOME is able to provide free clothing for the men and women who rely on our services. We receive much of our donations over the weekends and use Mondays as a sorting day to organize and display the items received but help is needed thought the week, especially during the holiday season. Volunteers are needed to help sort through donations, display items in the appropriate places and assist with other tasks needed to maintain an orderly and attractive boutique atmosphere in our Clothing Room. FOOD: In addition to the Dining Room where we serve hot meals daily, SOME operates a food pantry. From the food pantry we distribute non-perishable food items to our many programs and houses year round.
