American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Lights of HOPE

Date: Sep 25, 2018 at 12:00pm to 10:00pm
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) will be honoring those who have been touched by cancer and remembering those lost during the Lights of HOPE ceremony on September 25th in Washington, D.C. Lights of Hope bags bearing the names of those touched by cancer will line the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in an experience to fight back against cancer. In order to make this event a success, we need volunteers like you to help us set up for the event-- including placing and lighting 20,000+ luminaria bags. Volunteer times are available all day, starting at 8:30am through the end of the event after dusk. PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST SIGN UP ON THE EXTERNAL LINK https://www.acscan.org/actions/2018-lights-hope-volunteering AND WHEN YOU SIGN UP ON THE APO SITE NOTE WHICH SHIFT YOU WILL BE ATTENDING. ALSO BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE SITE WORKS I DID NOT INCLUDE TRAVEL TIME ON THESE SHIFTS BUT ALL SHIFTS WILL INCLUDE 30 MINUTES OF TRAVEL TIME EACH WAY SO EACH SHIFT WILL BE COUNTED AS FIVE HOURS!
