The project is through their College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES). They do a lot of research-based academic and community outreach programs in economically disadvantaged areas around DC. This Saturday they are doing work on UDC's green roof for a future research project testing the efficacy of crop producing vines in reducing the sun’s light and heat impacts on adjacent crops. In order to get the project started, they need to replace the existing soil on the roof in our study area. I t's 8am-4pm at UDC (will send you full address!) but I've split it into shifts to help.
