During this Workday, we will mostly be focused on getting the garden ready for the spring by weeding, redesigning parts of the space, laying down weed blocker, planting, cleaning out the greenhouse, and transferring seedlings for the our high school program participants’ spring seedling sales. Please advise your group to dress in old work clothes and closed toe shoes. Everyone is encouraged to bring water bottles, bug spray and sunscreen. Additionally, all participants must bring a valid form of Photo ID to check in with school security at the front entrance. We will provide gloves, tools, and light snacks for all participants. Please note that City Blossoms will host this Workday rain or shine, unless otherwise specified. Our usual policy is to cancel only if there is a 100% chance of rain or thunderstorms. Since there’s a greenhouse at this location, there should be plenty of indoor tasks day of if necessary. Lastly, we require all volunteers to complete a Volunteer Liability Waiver form prior to joining us in the garden.
