A dessert reception before the event will start at 7:30pm. The event is hosted by the AUSG Kennedy Political Union and is co-sponsored by Hillel, Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Kay Spiritual Life Center, and The Nachshon Project. Yavilah McCoy is the CEO and Executive Director of Dimensions, Inc. in Boston. She has spent the past 20 years working extensively in multi-faith communities and partnering specifically with the Jewish community to engage issues of diversity, equity and inclusion. She is an educator, activist and spiritual teacher. As a Jewish woman of color, Yavilah McCoy wants to talk to students about their power and ability to participate in a multi-faith, intersectional movement for racial justice. The event is open to AU students, faculty, and staff with AU IDs. There will be a dessert reception at 7:30pm. American University is committed to providing accessible program and services.
